Welcome to Fixin

Fixin is located in eastern France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and the Côte-d’Or department, just south of Dijon at the northern entrance to the Côte de Nuits. The village lies partly in the open vineyard zone and partly within the Combe de Fixin, a clearly defined dry valley cutting into the limestone hills. Vineyards rise on the lower slopes, while wooded sections higher up give the landscape a layered character. Water appears through small streams that intermittently flow through the combe and drain toward the Ouche basin. A holiday in Fixin reflects this mix of open and enclosed terrain. The nearby A31 motorway ensures fast access along the north–south axis, and local roads connect directly with Dijon and Gevrey-Chambertin. Walking routes follow vineyard edges before entering the valley, where paths gradually climb into quieter surroundings. Cyclists use marked wine routes that link villages across the northern Côte de Nuits. Staying in a B&B in Fixin often places visitors within the compact village centre. On the outskirts, larger properties such as a villa in Fixin overlook vines and wooded slopes. A holiday home in Fixin offers independence for exploring both the valley landscape and the surrounding wine villages at a relaxed pace. The village stands out through the clear interaction between geology, routes and cultivated land.
