Welcome to Foudgum

Foudgum is a tiny yet historically significant village in the north of Friesland, surrounded by wide meadows, waterways, and open skies. It is best known as the former home of the famous Frisian writer and linguist Eeltsje Halbertsma. The village exudes peace and authenticity, with its old church standing proudly on a terp (mound).
